Hello darlings !

Am checking out this Blogger app on my phone. Hopefully it works fine so I can blog more from now on :D

Ever since I've gotten the iPhone, I've been abandoning my baby red ridding at home :( It's much easier to take pics with the phone than using camera.

I'm so busy that I haven't have time to update this space as much as I'd love to :(

I'm still sorting out pictures from Bali which has over 700+ pictures ! FML

Still wondering how am I going to blog about it because I don't wanna miss out anything to you guys or write too much that will bore you.

Not to mention the occasional food hunts and celebrations too. Double FML :'(

I'll try my best to sort the pictures out and start updating more often next year ;D

Graduated finally ! :D

Was supposed to have this up about 2 months ago LOL :D

So, graduation happened back in October and it was one of the happiest moments for the parents ;)

I on the other hand, find it all a blur as the day zoom passed me pretty fast. All I know is that I was busy running up and down getting myself ready before the ceremony and later, searching for the parents and friends for photo.

It was a good day, until it started pouring -.- Luckily it stopped right before the ceremony ends but it was so humid after and the thick and heavy robe that we had on didn't help much either.

Nevertheless, I am glad that my family & friends made it for my graduation which totally made my day much better ♥

Well hello there teddy !

Something very stupid about my uni's arrangement is that, different major graduate on different day -.-

Meaning that, I can't graduate with all my coursemates because some of us took different major ! >:O

Extremely ridiculous. So this is not even the whole of my coursemates :(

Not forgetting, Grampa ;)

I'm actually happy beyond words :)

Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie

I've always loved pastries and when my girlfriend told me about Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie around our area, I immediately dragged the boyf along to satisfy my pastries craving.

Ficelle is very similar to Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie (here & here) because they are under the same management. No wonder they have similar concept too.

Ficelle only provide outdoor seating due to a smaller venue which is great for a relaxing Sunday morning but it can also get a little uncomfortable under the blazing hot sun during afternoons.

Clockwise from right - Mini chocolate croissant (RM1.30), Hazelnut cream brioche (RM2.50), Tuna french (RM3.60), Berry danish (RM2.80) & Onion sausage (RM2.50)

The Hazelnut cream brioche really is something different. Brioche which according to wikipedia - is made in the same basic way as bread, but has the richer aspect of a pastry because of the extra addition of eggs, butter, liquid (milk, water, cream, and, sometimes, brandy) and occasionally a bit of sugar. Personally, I think it's something between bread and cake. Not a fan of this as the filling is a little too sweet for my liking.

The rest are pretty much ordinary except for berry danish and mini choco croissant which I absolutely adore !

Turkey ham chicken floss (RM3.50)

Choux a la creme (RM2.00)

Another one of their specials which stated there that it originates from Japan. Also not a fan of this because of the custard filling and it tastes plain.

Teriyaki chicken pizza (RM4.80)

Kinoko pizza (RM4.50)

Ham and mushroom cabonara (RM11.80)

Pasta is definitely not their thing. The cabonara is kinda dry where you can obviously see from the picture. Not creamy at all :(

Coffee more, hazelnut not so.

Oh these 2 are abso ♥

Can't get enough of these.

Ficelle also have a wide range of desserts. Tried the Fuwa-toro Tiramisu (RM7.00). Not a bad choice I'd say :)

Overall, there are some hits and misses.

In comparison to Levain, I'd say Levain serves tastier pastries and pastas. Not that it's bad at Ficelle but some of them looked nice but taste otherwise. Pricing wise, Ficelle is slightly cheaper which doesn't cost you a bomb for Sunday brunch ;)

And I don't mind going back for more as it's just nearby where I'm living :D

biggest baddest book sale everrr

Did you guys managed to go to the biggest & baddest book sale last month ? Or perhaps got yourself some of those yummy preview passes ?

Well, I personally went there for 2 days back to back but if I could, I would have gone everyday ! :D
I wanted those passes so badly but luck was not on my side :(

This year's Big Bad Wolf book sale was held at MAEPS, Serdang. The hall is HUGE and filled with tonnes of books. I literally jizz in my pants by just looking at that place :P
The books are really cheap. Imagine RM8 - RM 12 per book ! ^^

So I was busy hunting for books, these are the only pictures that I've managed to snap before I lost control ;)

Hello darlings !

I'm sucha lousy blogger. I know righttt ? This space is like practically dead for the past month and I couldn't be bothered to update it even for once zomgwtfbbq !

I'll try to update it as often as possible this time 'aite ? I pinky swear :D

A short update on what has been going on in October besides working, the occasional Zanmai time and sleep :)

Oktoberfest ! Which definitely means a whole month of endless drinking sessions ;)

Pulled off a Kelly-gone-wild-over-books stunt at the biggest book sales ever :DD

Also, gone through one of the happiest moments in my life. No, I did not get myself married to the boyf :P

And finally, spent the last few days of October celebrating Deepavali and bday getting roasted in Bali ;))

Arthur's Day 2011 @ Speed City

I've got to say, my first Arthur's Day experience was not how I expected it to be.

First of all, definitely because of the ridiculous jam. I was stuck in it for nearly 2 hours when the party is just 500m away. I see many people abandon their cars at the roadside and walk to the party. Walking actually get you there faster than driving -.-

Second, we were super late when we arrive ! I think we reached around 11 ish. We missed most of the acts but we heard Mizz Nina in the car while stuck in that stupid jam :D

And lastly, those idiots who don't know how to respect other performers really is the biggest turn off for the entire event ! They seriously embarrassed Malaysia to a whole new level.

Okay, so back to the event. After getting the car parked, ran like mad, got our tags on, we made it inside ! :D
and Taio Cruz has not performed yet. Phewww.

I guess most of the people went home as I saw most were leaving while we were heading to the stage mainly because they were there for so many hours and Taio Cruz hasn't show up yet. And I heard some them saying that Taio won't be performing :(

Seeeeee. This is what I meant. See those white arrows pointing at what looks like 'X' the crowd made with the balloon thingy ? OH THE HORROR ! While other performers were performing, those idiots decided to show them 'X'es like some signal to say 'NO/GET OFF STAGE' while chanting 'TAIO TAIO TAIO'. And the Mat Sallehs at the Gold Lounge were boo-ing at these people. Ugghhh so embarrassing.

After Taio's performances, many hurried home to beat the traffic but we thought to stay a little longer since we were there late anyways and lucky that we did or else we would have missed this ! Gold confetti ♥

I'd say it was a pretty decent event. It would have been better if it was held at a better venue. Parking was a hassle for an event that estimates 20k people to turn up. And worse of all, I didn't manage to drink a sip at all ! BOOHOO. Was too busy at the stage area to go to the bar :P

We came across this shop which sells Durian Puffs at Jonker Walk. At first we were skeptical to buy it but daddylove says to give it a try and OH BOY THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY ORGASMIC !

If you're a durian lover, you MUST try these puffs ! Durian paste oozes in your mouth :D

Every Malacca trip is becoming more and more similar but this was well spent with the beloved fam :)

Had our lunch at Restoran Nyonya Makko which was highly recommended by Shin Nian and I must say that the food here taste much better than my previous encounter at Restoran Peranakan

So we went over to Nadeje for tea :) but it was too crowded so we got the cake and went over to Movida.

SIA interview - ze experience

Singapore Airlines interview was last Saturday and I can't believe I went for it.

At first I was kind of scared and reluctant to go but after much persuasion from the boyf, I went anyway. Unfortunately I've only managed to get to the last interview and wasn't chosen to move further.

I was a little disappointed because after making it thus far, I couldn't get it :( I was just 1 step away from that.

I just want to share a little of my experience from it with you guys :) oh and no pictures were taken as I was super nervous most of the time like I'm getting panic attack sort :P

The interview started off at 9am to 2pm but I was there around 10am and oh boy ! FREAKING MANY PEOPLE ! There were 400 people in front of me and I was sort of intimidated because they were so many beautiful ladies and handsome guys. I didn't know what to expect so I barely put on any make up :S
Everybody was nicely dressed and beautifully made up, well most of them anyways.

So, I waited for approximately 1hour plus to be called in for what I thought was my turn to register but NOOO, gotta sit and wait some more because they were just registering the other 100 people before me -.-

We were assigned into groups of 10 for round 1 interview where it will be with 2 interviewers. nervous sialll !
We were required to answer 3 question - what is your name ? where are you from ? and what fruit will you describe yourself as ? (the final question depends on the mood of the interviewer. I heard some of them got questions like, who is inspires you ? what is your fav movie ? etcetc and ours was pretty easy I'd say )
The results were announced after few minutes and only 2 were chosen out of 10 so I was pretty lucky that they picked me :D
In my opinion, it doesn't matter if you can or can't elaborate your point into a long story because judging from the 2 of us that they've picked, our answers were pretty lame and short HARHAR

Then, we got our height and weight measured and were seated outside of the changing room with the rest of the successful candidates for skin check. This is the part where I thought (from what I've heard) that they will ask us to remove the make up and whatnot to see our bare skin but IT'S NOT TRUE ! I see this other girl can still touch up her make up and paint a thicker layer of concealer and foundation -.-
Inside, I was asked to stand near the sunlight so she can see my face better and checked my arms and legs for any scars or tattoos. I did a short casual walk too and that was it. PASSED :D
Got my documents checked and I'm good for next round :)

Moving on to round 2 interview. This time it was a one-to-one interview. A few simple questions were asked such as - why are you here for this interview ? what do you know about SIA ? what made you choose SIA ?
And then I was asked to read a short passage out loud. The passage is actually about situations that you might encounter while working as a stewardess and mine was about some seating problem and I need to tell the interviewer how am I going to solve it.
Again I answered all her questions with very short replies and didn't say much about the situation other than apologizing LOL. AND SHE PASSED ME ! :DD

I was shocked and happy because most of the candidates who came out complained that their passage was difficult and not many made the cut. Lucky me :D

I was led to another waiting room again to fill medical forms while waiting to be summoned by the interviews for the final round interview. This time, the interview was conducted by 2 interviewers and 6 candidates. This interview was somewhat more casual and relax compared to the others but quite lengthy. We were required to get a partner and get to know him/her and present them. When it was done, each of us was given a short paragraph to read out loud so that the interviewers can assess our voice/language if we were to make any announcements.

After that, a topic is given and we were required to debate or give our opinions on the topic as we like. Our topic was 'money can't buy happiness' and the discussion/debate session commenced.
At this stage, 1 candidate from each pair were chosen so there were only 3 who successfully moved on and I wasn't one of them :(
I guess I wasn't giggly/chatty enough because from what I've noticed, the other 3 who got chosen were so chatty and giggled at everything throughout the interview and I was like -____- LOL
I was already super nervous, how to be so chatty and giggly ? harhar :D

That's the furthest I managed to get to and I was only 1 step away from getting it. The next step will be trying on the Kebaya and go for medical check up . Such a waste !

But I was glad that I did it and made it this far because I wanted to throw in the towel and go back to my sleep that morning. It was indeed a good experience. I guess I'll go for the next interview again because despite the heebie-jeebies, I actually enjoyed it :D

So, this is roughly what it was like to attend the SIA interview if you're curious about it. Hope it helped any of you who are interested to give it a try but have no clue of what it's like :)

A random dinner night with the peeps and a BIG THANK YOU to Eu Lei for whipping up an awesome meal ! :D

All the awesome food was prepared by him alone. Yes, he made EVERYTHING himself except for the raw stuffs of course. We totally feel the ♥ coming from him as every dish was absolutely delish ! And he was very thoughtful in making this dinner :D

By the end of the night, we can barely walk cause everyone was stuffed to the brim. It was such a lovely Saturday night with great food, great company and alcohol free :D

Party in Bangkok ! ♥

This will be my last post on Bangkok. I know you guys must be like, finally man this is getting too much. LOL !

So, apart from all the shopping sprees in Bangkok, the boyfriend and I also managed to find time for some night activity. Despite the tiredness everyday, we managed to move our butts to Route 66 and The Dome during our stays here.

It was our first time going to Bangkok's club and I've noticed that it has indoor and outdoor seating. We were there on a Thursday night so there were not as many people as expected and they only started to fill the club up at about 11-ish.

The alco in Bangkok is dirt cheap and you can expect the same from their clubs. Cocktails are only 180 baht and liquor bottles around 1200 baht onwards which means HAPPY PARTY PEOPLE ! :D

I guess the bunch of alco-loving friends of mine would LOVE this place to bits. HERE's a short info of what you need to know about the place :)

Cool laser lights coming from all around the room.

They even provide free internet service so you can stay in touch with the world and also tweet/status update to everyone about how awesome the place is. Nothing better than free publicity ;)

Oh and I must say, their cocktails are very strong. Like whooshhh can die if you can't drink alco. LOL

This is their ladies restroom. YES, RESTROOM. You heard me right. It's so beautifully decorated and furnished that I feel like sipping my cocktails in here and just chill.

The night ended with me being very tipsy and my ride back was like on a roller coaster !

Our next night was on a Saturday night after the whole Chatuchak spree and we still managed to go out and about. We headed over to the beautiful Sirocco, The Dome at State Tower.

Entrance is free, tho I must warn you that the drinks here are a tad pricey but worth the visit. At least once because you'll definitely love the view from above ;)

Classic Margarita - Mojito

I didn't expect Bangkok to have such breath taking night view. It was absolutely stunning and these pictures do not justice ! You gotta see it for yourself to know what I'm talking. It's amazing to see those tall buildings and bright street lights around you while enjoying your company and drinks.

Well, this sums up my first trip abroad :D It was indeed fun and I love being in a different country trying out different things. It might sound weird but I definitely love how we're foreign to everything and go around asking for directions and places. It gives me an adventurous sort of feeling ;)

I ♥ BANGKOK #4 - Chatuchak Market

One of the must-visits in Bangkok is definitely Chatuchak Market.

Shopping heaven for everybody and SUPER HUGE ASS market, we can barely cover half of that place after more than 6 hours. I was told to go there early to avoid sweaty crowds and die of suffocation so we arrived around 9am and this is how it looked.

Empty streets and most of the shops are not even open for business yet -.-

Once again, cheated.

In less than an hour it turned into this ...

Crowded beyond words and to top it off, it drizzled for a while and blazing hot the next. Imagine sweaty sticky people around you. ewwwwww :(

The clock tower is the best place to set as your check point with friends in case you go missing or lost. Also, get a huge trolley bag or something to store all your newly bought loots for easier shopping and browsing. You would want both hands to be free when browsing through all the shiz :)

You can find all kinds of things here from apparels to shoes, bags, accessories and utensils etc. You name it and they got it. You just have to go through the place slowly and with LOTS of patience to find good bargains. Most of the shops offer lower price when you buy in bulks hence try to go in a big group so that you can get better offer. Or you can be friends with other shoppers and see if they are interested to combine the items for the wholesale price ;)

Something similar to the mix rice with shrimp paste from the previous night market except this has braised egg and absolutely mind blowing delicious ! Just look for a stall with lots of people lining up for it :D

After half day of walking non-stop, you get a pissy looking me ;)

Again, feet screaming for help. So, note to self - wear shoes the next time ! harhar

Head over to Siam Paragon for dinner at MOS Burger and thank god for air condition !

I love how all their restaurants provide pretty coasters for your drinks. I'm not sure if they provide it at the KLCC outlet here.

I ♥ BANGKOK #3 - Temples

HELLO !

My Bangkok update is so slowwww. I knowwww but I have a good reason :)

If you have been following my twitter updates, you would know that the reason I went missing for a while was because I had a teeny eeny minor surgery last week, hence was back in hometown with no internet :(

So, here's Day 3 in Bangkok. Visited the Grand Palace and few other stops.

The sky was beautiful that day which makes me super happy to walk around :)

We started off with The Grand Palace and made our way down to Wat Pho (reclining Buddha) and Wat Arun.

I'd suggest that you take the Chao Phraya River Cruise because you'll get to see so many beautiful buildings along the river it's abso ♥, I tell you ! And it only takes a bout 15-20 minutes to reach. If I'm not mistaken, the cruise costs about 20 baht only.

We had a hard time locating the place as it was located about 500m away from the jetty and it started to rain. But it was worth the trouble :)

If you plan to visit the palace, shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed inside the compound but fret not as there is a booth on the right side of the entrance where you can rent sarongs and shirts. All you have to do is pay the deposits and you'll be able to get the deposits back after the visit.

There will be lots of vendors outside the palace telling you stories or warning you about not being able to enter because of this and that so that you'll purchase the sarongs from them, DO NOT TRUST THEM. You don't have to purchase anything because all the temples or whatsoever will provide the sarongs and asked for deposits which will be given back to you once you've returned their sarongs. Also, DO NOT TRUST the taxi/tut tut drivers when they tell you the temple or palace is closed because of some event and offer to take you to the Lucky Buddha Temple or wherever with cheap fares because most of them are conman.

The Grand Palace is absofuckinglutely HUGE ! We spent around 2 hours inside so be sure to be prepared to do a lot of walking :D

Oh and entrance fee is about 350 baht.

Love the murals on the wall. There's a story to it but in Thai so I've no idea what is it about. I'm guessing something about Ramayana, the monkey god and Buddha.

After touring the palace, stopped by a roadside stall for lunch. Dirty stall with yummy food :D

And it started to rain again like wtf -.- and we have to carry the umbrella and eat HOHO

Next stop was Wat Pho Temple also knows as Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Entrance fee is 50 baht.

It is situated beside the Grand Palace and it's about 5-10 minutes walking distance only.

Basically nothing much inside. Just a big reclining Buddha and bronze Buddha statutes in various poses, chedis, chapels, gardens and bell towers etc.

The Buddha's feet are engraved with mother of pearls.

One of the many chedis which I believed is some sort of grave for their monks ? There are many chedis all around the temple and are built in their backyard hence my view of it.

After visiting Wat Pho Temple, we took the cross-river boat across the river to Wat Arun Temple.

Yes, there's a difference between the river cruise boat earlier and this cross-river boat. This boat is strictly used to go across the river only. You cannot take this boat back to where you came from. Super troublesome -.-

Wat Arun Temple. Entrance fee is also 50 baht and sarongs are available for rental too.

Beautiful features I must say.

I went up those steep steps ! It might look easy in the picture but it's not. Especially with that sarong, I had a hard time getting all the way up.

We didn't walk around much at Wat Arun because it was getting late and we were so tired everything looked the same after some time. So we went over to Yaowarat Chinatown.

Stopped by their market for a little while to hunt for accessories. Supposedly the market has lots of cheap accessories but once again, we were there late evening and the stalls are getting ready to close :(

This small cart at some back lane caught my attention with its strong yummy santan aroma.

Some sort of Thai dessert I supposed. It reminds me our bubur cha cha but with stronger santan flavour and it is salty rather than sweet. Those little small balls are like little glutinous balls and you can choose to add egg with the dessert. Something different which you can't get it at home :)

As for dinner, took the MRT back to our place and went food hunting at the night market nearby.

The awesome possum MRT chip ! No tickets required and no more penalty for bending the train tickets whatsoever.

I love hunting food at night markets. Lots of varieties and you can try lots of weird stuffs. They are usually delicious and rarely suck :D

Got ourselves some of that rice mixed with shrimp paste because the queue to the stall was super long :)

Salted Tilapia fish, fried chicken wings and drumsticks and all sorts of satay.

Mix Rice with Shrimp Paste is da bomb !

Similar to nasi kerabu with pork fillets and lots of other veges.

Hot and Spicy Seafood Salad

The rest of the night was spent in the room with snacks and booze. We were too tired to go anywhere after dinner and I didn't want to walk anymore. If there is a thing as walking phobia, I'd be having that, no kidding. Walking since 9am until 9pm will give you that effect :(

I am happy to stay in the room with my Smirnoff HEHE :D

Next day was just as tiring and busy because it is Saturday and that can only mean one thing, Chatuchak Market ! :D

I ♥ BANGKOK #2 - Madame Tussauds Bangkok

WARNING ! Long post ahead ! ;)

Second day in Bangkok was mainly spent around Siam Square where all the major shopping malls are.

It's really convenient to get to the malls by taking BTS as you will reach Siam Center when you stop at Siam station. Then everywhere else you can go by foot :)

Kickstart the morning with some breakfast at our hotel.

I opted for some simple breakfast with pancakes, sausages, ham and omelet. They also serve kuay teow and other heavier breakfast.

After breakfast, off we went to Siam Square !

As we got down from the BTS and to Siam Center, guess who we saw !

TOM CRUISE ! :P

Madame Tussauds Bangkok was doing some promotion and we accidentally saw its counter at Siam Center.

You are entitled to get 10% disc plus a figure guide book and 1 4R picture which costs around 720 baht/person compared to the actual 800baht/person w/o the book and picture.

On the way over to Madame Tussauds Bangkok in Siam Discovery, which is next to Siam Center. So many colourful duckies ;)

But somehow I feel that the wax figures here are not really alike the real person -.-

First stop, world leaders and politicians. I was so hyped up that I totally forgotten to take pic with Princess Diana :(

Next I would categorize these people as the geniuses.

Moving on to the sportsman section

And then on to the celebrities. Start off with those from the music industry.

Movies characters, TV shows and other Hollywood celebrities. Our very own Michelle Yeoh too yo :)

And the founder of Madame Tussauds wax museums, Madame Tussauds herself !

At the end of the tour, there's a room with the explanations and examples of how a wax figure is being made.

Step 1 : The Siting where measurements from head to toe are taken for up to 2 hours at every angle.

Step 2 : Sculpting where an armature acting as skeleton to support the clay body when it is being constructed.

Step 3 & 4 : Moulding where a figure is being mould and it takes up to 170 hours. Wax is poured into the mould to create hollow head/hands. They are then cast into wax and coloured.

Finally, finishing touches where the hair colour, eyes and teeth are chosen for the figure. Various colours are used to paint the figures and also accessories to match the figure's outfit.

After spending nearly 2 hours in the wax museum, headed over to Siam Paragon for lunch.

McD Samurai Pork Burger ! Too bad they only have 1 flavour for pork and it tastes so-so only :(

More hopping after that, from Central World Mall to Platinum Mall to Pratunam Market and final stop at Sala Daeng district for dinner before heading back (which was recommended by our receptionist and was totally cheated because we couldn't look for any decent street food :( )

Naraya is a MUST visit when come here. SUPER huge shop and the bags are abso ♥ and affordable. Good quality and handcraft which make good souvenirs for loved ones :)

Outside Central World when we were on our way over to Platinum Mall. Many Thais pray here and it is open to everyone.

Something like our Sg Wang with lots of things to buy but not much cheaper than KL. Most of the owners don't like to bargain so try your best and if can't, just walk to another shop because everyone's selling the same thing :D

LOTS OF BAGS ! A whole floor just selling bags :D

Shopping heaven for the ladies as clothings, bags and shoes have their own floor.

@Pratunam Market

Pratunam Market is a wholesale market and most of the shops close early, probably around 4-5pm. We were there pretty late so didn't managed to see most of the things they have to offer.

By that time, our feet literally screamed for help after walking the entire day from 10am till 6pm ! Seriously. The only transport we took was BTS from hotel to town and everywhere else were on foot :(

So we relaxed our tired feet for a little while by hopping onto one of those famous tut-tuts everyone's been talking about to the nearest BTS station.

Good for 3 person because 4 is definitely too crowded and it feels like we're going to fly out any minute. Especially when it took us left and right and did cornering like nobody's business :O

I was pretty scared because cars were zooming pass us really fast and dust were flying into our face :(

Had our dinner in a restaurant called Yum Saap ( yum saap in chinese sounds like perverted or something LOL )

Pad Thai Seafood - Papaya Salad with BBQ Pork - MAMA Tomyam Noodle - Glass Noodle Tomyam Seafood.

Back to the hotel and got myself some yummy fruit juice, Tipco ! :D

Spent the rest of the night at Route 66 with the boyfriend but I'll leave the drinking in BKK for another post because my daily activity is already too long for you peeps to digest harhar :P

YELLLOO EVERYBODEHH ! :D

Just got back from my short Bangkok trip and it is time to update my blog :) This is my first time going abroad so I was super excited !

The trip was awesome and it was also our first time to Bangkok ;) we didn't go on any tour and there's no tour guide to help us out so it was a bit difficult to communicate with the locals as not many of them speak English. Most of the time we've no idea where to eat and what to do beside those few famous shopping spots :S

Definitely need to do more homework next time but it was good experience for me. Somehow I love being a foreigner and not knowing where or how we're going to these places but I'm definitely not happy when the taxi and tut tut drivers try to con us ! And the weather was also sucky because it drizzled almost everyday in the morning and late evening where it drizzled for 10-15 mins and then turned HELL sunny for 10-15 mins. REPEATEDLY.

Anyhoo, I have tonnes of pictures to share with you guys and wanted to combine my visits together but it'll be 2-3 super long posts. I doubt you guys want to keep scrolling down and find the post endless so Imma post according to my daily activities 'aite ? :) ♥

We didn't plan anything on our day of arrival because we wanted to have a look around the hotel we stayed and chill a little plus do a little questioning at the reception on the places to visit.

White fluffy clouds like cotton candy is ♥. I have the urge to dive into it the entire flight :D

Checked into our hotel, The Bedrooms Boutique Hotel located at Sukhumvit Road, Soi 77.

It's not exactly around town area but it is only 5 mins walk from the BTS station (their skytrain which is something similar to our LRT). Also, Big C (soon to be Carrefour) is just right beside us !

And it is very affordable as we only pay approximately RM500/room for 5D4N ;) plus the staff are very friendly with excellent service !

Our minimalistic and comfortable room.

By the time we settled down, we were super duper hungry so we went over to Big C for food but unfortunately there weren't many choices so we picked Black Canyon Coffee to fill our growling tummies.

I've no idea they have this in Malaysia too -.- but it seems that the food in Malaysia's outlet is less spicy.

Ordered some spicy bacon pasta, carbonara and tom yam koong. OMFG SUPER SPICY ! :(

Absolutely lovin' my coffee with coffee ice-cream ! Total perk-me-up :D

Everyone who has been to Bangkok said that 7-Eleven is a MUST visit because of the varieties of food and booze you can get so when I first step into one of it, my eyes went from o.o to O.O !

SO FREAKING MANY THINGS TO EAT ! I'm feel like I'd died and gone to some food heaven :D

ALCO !! ♥

FOOD !! ♥

Choose from wantan mee to chicken rice to nasi lemak to fried rice. All sorts of nonsense rice/noodles and all you have to do is just put them in the microwave for 3-5 mins and TADAHH ! MAKAN ! :D

Pizza/ham/sausages/pork balls. You name it, they got it. Even frozen burgers and croissants ! But it looks a little yucky to me.

They even have veges for you so you can make your burger as tasty as the ones from the picture.

Oh and as the both of us were walking back to the hotel to be ready for dinner, we came across a stall selling this pork chop and it's the yummiest pork chop I've ever tasted, I tell you ! We had it for few nights in a row and how I wish they have it here :(

Dinner time !

Took a taxi to Thong Lo area because according to the receptionist we can get those street food there.

They have nonsense DON'Ts in the taxi. Is that a NO SEX sign ? ROFLMAO !

We walked up and down the streets around Thong Lo but couldn't find anything resembles a food street so we felt kinda cheated by the receptionist -.-

Almost gave up and went back until we saw this stall selling wantan mee outside 7-Eleven.

It looked kinda plain but surprisingly good or was it because we were just too hungry ? hmmmm.

Had mango with glutinous rice as dessert after that :)

Took the BTS back to the hotel. Fast and convenient me likey ! No wonder most Thais like to take BTS instead of driving. The station might looked empty in this photo but it was quite packed in the train.

Got ourselves some company for the rest of the night ♥

That's the end of Day 1. Didn't travel much but was already mad tired :(

Day 2 was mall hopping day and an unexpected visit to a certain museum.

I am too lazy to blog these days.

Everything is pretty much the same. Being unemployed for about a month is definitely NOT FUN !

Everyone says that I should appreciate the time off while I can but sleeping, eating, stoning and growing mushrooms everyday gets super boring after a period of time. Can't wait for my trip to Bangkok ! :D

Nonetheless, I still enjoy the occasional company from the buds.

I guess by now you guys must be sick of my posts about Eu Lei's BBQ sessions after sessions but lets not waste his always-improving-and-ever-expanding-mouth-watering food pics ok ?

A small shop located at The Gardens 2nd floor. Kind of hidden which is why it was kind of difficult to find at first. It's somewhere near the escalator at Isetan's side.

It is still new so there are only few choices compared to Chatime's long lists.

Had Gong Cha Signature Milk Oolong Tea and Gong Cha Signature Winter Melon Milk Tea

Gong Cha milk tea definitely taste better than Chatime but the pearls given wasn't as much, less chewy and smaller in size compared to Chatime.

AND NO RED BEANS ! BOOHOO ! :(

but they have white pearls ! no idea what it is. too bad it's not here yet so will definitely come back for the white pearls next time :D

Ben's is one of the new food store by thebiggroup.co which also own places like Plan B, T42, Canoodling and forgoodnesssake.

At first glance, Ben's reminded me of Delicious with the wooden kind of walls and especially the way it says Ben's.

EVO Formula 1 screening @ Ecoba + Plan B

Attended the EVO screening two Sundays ago at Ecoba Restaurant & Bar.

Participated a small contest done by Erica Ting and got the invitation :)

Partner in crime for the day, darling Quan :)

We arrived kind of early cause it says event starts at 2pm but little did we know, the actual race begins at 4pm -.-

It's kind of embarrassing to say this out that ... we know NOTHING about Formula 1 other than they have hot racers in karts racing each other HEHE ;)

Guessing that we won't be watching the race since we know nothing, we went anyway to spend some quality time together and who would want to miss out free booze and food rightttt ? :D

The amount of people were crazy !

Everyone was in red I had a hard time differentiating who works there and who are the guests LOL

It was indeed kind of a bore for us because we arrived waaayyy too early, about 2 hours before the race (they say event starts at 2pm ma ! :( ) and we had nothing better to do besides looking at hot girls walking around.

Also, they were supposed to be serving endless food but I guess Ecoba wasn't prepared for a big hungry crowd that the food were all gone in the blink of an eye :( and it took them SO long to refill the both of us almost die of hunger (ok maybe not die of hunger lah I'm just exaggerating :P)

However they did serve endless juice and booze but we weren't interested anymore so we went off right when the race starts to fill our tummies.

which consists of 2 eggs of any styles served on toast with crispy turkey bacon, golden hash brown, juicy breakfast sausages, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms and roasted tomatoes.

The breakfast platter also comes with fresh orange juice and a choice of coffee or tea.

It was ABSO YUMS ! Look at darling's happy I'm-ready-to-eat face :D

I'm a total sucker for desserts I MUST have at least one but I got greedy so we ordered ...

Chocolate Cookie Bar (RM5)

A big chunk of chocolate bar with cookie bits which is quite filing and a bit bored if had too much.

Raspberry & Lemon Cake (RM9)

A raspberry sauce filled and sugar coated lemony cake topped with very sour raspberries. It's nice to have this especially after a full meal as the sourness will help to ease the too-full-tummy-gonna-burst feeling :D

Our cmi shots which I find pretty hilarious when viewed one after another. we looked as though we're like 'meeehhhhh ?' LOL

Any day out with the bestie will definitely end up with lots of laughter and nonsense stories etc etc and this was no exception.

A simply dinner to celebrate our 6th year together.

It was a belated one because the boyf was in Bali during our actual anniversary.

When Plan A failed, opt for Plan B !

Heard so many great reviews about the place so we went and check em out.

It's just a small corner dining place with sort of limited indoor seating but luckily they have some tables outdoor too. It was packed to the brim !

It also has a nice cozy interior with comfortable sofas but was placed quite near to each other so I feel that the sofa seating is kinda lack of privacy.

the drinks counter looks kinda chic and all with assortments of cookies/desserts (?) on display. I was kinda tempted to walk over and take a look/salivate at their desserts (they have a display counter of various desserts over the other side) but was too lazy too move :P

I like how their menu is so simple and there's explanation to all the dishes but no pictures and it's a good thing cause everything I read sounds delicious. Without the pictures, it really made me look thru the menu and select what's nice instead of just pointing at whatever picture that seems good to me but always end up ... meeehhhhh ..

Wild Mushroom Soup (RM10)

It's thick and filled with lots of mushrooms bits but taste wise, just like any other mushroom soup.

The Loaded Club Sandwich (RM20)

with grilled chicken, turkey bacon, roasted capsicums & avocado-feta mash, stacked on egg mayo spread and held together with 3 slices of home-made white bread. And some tapioca chips instead of the normal fries you get along with some salad.

Soft-Shell Crab Salad (RM18)

with crunchy green apples, watercress, cucumber and harissa mayo

I've no idea what's watercress and if you eat the it by itself, it's kinda bitter but eating it together with the green apple, cucumber or the crab, I actually kind of liked it.

As for dessert, we had Red Velvet Cake (RM9)

This is my first time trying a Red Velvet and I'm not sure how it's supposed to be like but this taste rather normal to me. The cheese frosting was alright, not too cheesy or sweet or salty and there's layers of chocolate between the cake. It taste sort of plain if you eat the cake on its own but much better when eat it as a whole.

It's kind of a let down because I thought it would be something special as it seems like the latest must-have dessert these days.

The table next to us ordered some chocolate molten kinda cake looked waaayyyy better than this :P would love to go back and try that.

I think the place is not bad with reasonable price range especially for their desserts compared to other places. Definitely will be back for their awesome selection of desserts.

Celebrated boyfriend's birthday few weeks back.

Did a small dinner gathering/surprise for the boy and it was pretty successful at first until he started suspecting something when my phone rings non-stop.

Brought him to Carlos Mexican Canteena, Pavilion and few of his friends were already there waiting while I told him that it was just the both of us for dinner :D

The name of the restaurant itself is already self explanatory as to what kind of food served and it's a nice place to hang out with friends for drinks and shisha.

Overall the dinner at Carlos was alright but we would prefer Chilis more because ....

First, there were no bottomless chips or drinks.

Second, the food portion is not as big.

Third, not so worthy of the price with that kind of serving - look at the potato skins, RM16++ for 3 pieces only ! not 3 potatoes but 3 pieces LOL

Taste wise, they tasted pretty good especially the spaghetti but as for the rest of the food, nothing much to shout about.

So I hope the boyfriend had a delightful celebration this year and thank you to those who helped to make it happen ! Love y'all ! *flying kisses*

Amidst my crazy schedule, I guess it's about time that I do a little update here before this space goes dead :D

An overdue post on this year's CNY.

In fact, there are a few more which I meant to write up on but I was just too preoccupied :'(

Not gonna say much bout my CNY mainly because all I did was eat, drink and gamble to the MAX on all 4 days :DD and it is like a tradition to us now since we go to pretty much the same few houses on the same lunar day every year.

So imma bomb the post with pictures and a few words here and there instead.

Hello all !

A random dinner night with boyfie and we've decided to give Paddington House of Pancakes at The Gardens a try to check out what is so special with this pancake house.

I'd must say that it was rather expensive to be spending that amount of moolah on pancakes and for dinner some more. Although I could see myself having one of these occasionally with some friends over breakfast or brunch, provided we have the extra cash to spare on pancakes :D (well, we're living on a student budget mah)

Everything in their menu sound/look delicious and I wanted to try all especially those with the yummy looking pictures :D

The place was practically empty like we have the place all by ourselves :D

Paddington Nachos with cheese, kidney beans, salsa, bacon bits, Mexican cheese dip and sour cream.

Yummehhh but I still prefer those served in Chilis ;D

Mango puree, strawberry ice-cream & nuts

You can choose the pancakes filling from a selections of original, banana & raisins, oreo, newyork cheese, choco chips etcetc

It was just mehhh because of the weird mango mixed with chocolate, strawberry ice-cream combination :(

Pot of gold - bite sized choco dollars with marshmallows, nuts, ice cream & choco sauce.

Oh so yummeh with lots of syrup :D but a tad bit sweet with the syrup and choco sauce together.

Overall I enjoyed the pancakes but I probably won't be visiting them anytime soon cause it's not really worth that kind of price for pancakes :P

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE !! ♥

Since it's Chinese New Year, I will be away for a week or 2 maybe even 3 to collect angpows like mad, recuperate from all the late night drinks and also nerd-ing at home because I have one test/exam per week so there will be very minimal updates. BOOHOO :(

Anyways, I'd like to wish you guys Happy Chinese New Year and may the year of rabbit brings you good health, abundance of wealth and a great year ahead filled with joy and happiness !

Don't over eat or over drink or over gamble or over anything and most importantly, DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE ! Be safe and have fun !

Also to the silly boyf, will be missing you when you're back in Setiawan.

70th monthsary ♥ @ Italiannies, Sunway

A short post on our monthly monthsary dinner and this time it was at Italiannies, Sunway :)

LOVEEE the warm soft breads served with a little of balsamic vinegar in olive oil.

One of the reasons why I love going to Italiannies and I know we can serve that at home but some things just taste better when you don't have to do it for yourself :P

They used to give bigger/more slices but now they just give 2 slices per person :(

Calamari Ceasar Salad

Sorta regretted ordering this because the calamaris turned soggy after mixing with the salad :( but the portion is really big I can't finish it on my own.

Chicken Parmigiana

This may look little but it's actually not cause those chicken fillets are kinda big and compact/dense (?) Yeahh, you get what I mean so it's really really filling but taste wise was just normal. Nothing to rave about.

A simple dinner just the two of us :)

CNY is just around the corner. About 10 days to be exact. SUPER EXCITED ! :D

Last week ze parents decided to come up for a visit and have a little berbonding session with me.

or maybe they just miss their daughter for not going home for a week :P

We walked around and did some CNY shopping before I run off to meet the boy.

Sadly the brother has to work or else it would be a fun family outing :((

Tony Roma's set lunches are SO cheap (not more than RM25/set if I'm not mistaken) and worth eating because every main course comes with soup of the day and refillable soft drinks ! and garlic bread(s) to share depending on the number of people dining.

Soup of the day - a choice of potato soup or something something with beef I think because the three of us had potato soup and it comes with a packet of biscuits. YUMMEH and thick that after finishing the soup, we were already feeling kind of full :S

I CAN HAZ SMOOTH AND MANAGEABLE HAIR ! :D

Thanks to the boyf's sister for getting me the Essential products all the way from Taiwan :D

I heard great reviews about Essential hair care so when the boyf's family went on a vacation to Taiwan, so I asked the lil sister to get me some :)

I'm so happy to have these and am really excited to give them a try.

The whole Essential range consists of 5 products but I only had 3 which are the hair mask, treatment and shampoo. Might consider getting the conditioner and care lotion if the products are as good as what I've been told. Too bad they don't sell it in Malaysia so I'll have to find a way to get it :D

Can't wait to try them out. Will do a review/update about it after using them :)
